Net Metering: Support Solar Now!
Dear Governor ,
A state energy policy that embraces ‘net metering’ encourages investment in clean, renewable solar energy. I implore you to use the influence of your office to encourage the legislature to pass a law allowing for utilities to employ systems to allow net metering to be used to store excess solar energy created by citizens who make the commitment and monetary investment to install solar power systems on their homes and businesses.
Adoption of Net Metering policy is plain common sense and the passage of legislation allowing for its deployment in our state will save my family money on the cost of electricity, as well as reduce our nations dependence on foreign carbon based fuels and global warming pollution.
Your immediate attention to this matter is urged as it is a travesty our state is but one of handful in the United States that does not already embrace this practice.
Truly Yours,
